District Court Miscellaneous Fee Schedule Increase

Effective May 1, 2013, a $50.00 administrative fee will be added to the cost of filing a civil action. This fee does not apply to persons granted in forma pauperis status under 28 USC § 1915.

Effective February 1, 2013, receipts for criminal debt payments will no longer be mailed unless a stamped, self-addressed envelope is included with payment. This notice can be accessed on the Finance Page or Click here to read the complete notice.

Effective October 1, 2012, the United States District Court for the Western District of New York is increasing the pro hac vice attorney admission fee to $150.00 in order to supplement the fund used to pay pro bono counsel expenses.
The Judicial Conference approved a minor change to the miscellaneous fee schedule for the District Courts. Effective June 1, 2012, the Document Exemplification Fee will increase to $21.00.
