REQUESTING TRANSCRIPTS

Certified transcripts filed with the Clerk of Court are public records, they may be used, reproduced and provided to attorneys, parties, and the public without additional compensation to the court reporter. Copies of certified transcripts may be obtained, from the Clerk’s Office, for 50 cents per page.

If you find that the transcript is not already apart of the official case file maintained by the Clerk's Office, you may request a transcript from the appropriate reporter. Please provide the following information when making your request:

1. Date of hearing
2. Case number
3. Case name
4. Presiding judicial officer

For transcripts of proceedings before Hon. John T. Curtin, Hon. John T. Elfvin, or the magistrate judges, please make requests, in writing, indicating the date needed by, and mail or fax your request to: Transcription Coordinator, 304 United States Courthouse, 68 Court Street, Buffalo, New York 14202; fax (716) 551-4850.
